Alexandra Rigazzi-Tarling is a Vocal Consultant and Coach, Sound Therapist and Tutor for the College of Sound Healing. As a former Opera Singer she has worked with Voice for well over 25 years. She trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she was awarded a Bachelor's Degree in Music and a Masters Degree in Music Performance.
Alexandra was brought up surrounded by music and performance, as well as healing and complementary therapies. She spent several years as a working opera singer at international venues, but unfulfilled by this lifestyle, she turned her attention to working as a vocal coach specialising in vocal technique and performance psychology. In addition to this in 2014, Alexandra began to combine her traditional voice coaching with a complementary perspective.
As a trained Sound Therapist, she became a tutor for the College of Sound Healing, and recently a trustee for the organisation, and created voice work that she calls 'Healing and Authentic' voice, assisting both professional voice users and beginners alike to find and work with their core, authentic vocal sound with both a technical and holistic approach. This often meant helping established speakers and performers understand and work with their voice on a deeper technical as well as psychological level, bringing extraordinary results.
Alexandra runs accredited practitioner trainings in Sound Healing with the Voice (CoSH), she teaches for educational (including SEN) and corporate establishments (including Barristers' Chambers) for both singing and speaking, and she runs regular workshops in a range of Voice related subjects. She is currently embarking on a research pathway through a Master's in Psychology focusing on the health benefits of vocal toning.
Alexandra is passionate about the healing effects of voice on the body and mind and its ability to reflect a person's state of health and being on all levels. Her sessions empower people to begin a journey of personal development and wellness through the discovery of their own unique vocal sound.
