Voice reconnection for healing and balance is for people that have lost the ability to speak and sing with self belief and confidence. It is different from a regular singing lesson. Maybe you have been have been stifled, put down and silenced your whole life, or maybe you have been told not to sing as it sounds "out of tune". All these things can have a very negative affect on the body and mind and ultimately begin to silence you. Do you ever feel you just want to shout or scream out of sheer frustration? Do you wish you could speak your mind but your words and voice fail you?
Reconnecting with your voice helps you find your sound, your voice, your words and allows you to find a part of you that might have been lost due to abuse, trauma, or gradual loss of confidence due to work, relationships and life events.
A session will primarily look at your goals and what you want to achieve. You will learn breath techniques to help you relax and open your body and mind. Gradually you will be encouraged to use your voice slowly with both spoken and sung exercises. The sessions are taken at a rate that suits you. You will be encouraged to gather self awareness in your daily life, pin pointing experiences that have caused you fear and discomfort. You will be given tools to help you overcome these times. Ultimately, you will learn to open your body and mind and reconnect with the causes of your anxiety in using your voice.
