Voice Reconnection Sessions
Voice Reconnection for Healing and Balance is designed for people who feel they have lost the ability to speak or sing with confidence and self-belief. It is different from a traditional singing lesson.
Perhaps you have spent much of your life feeling stifled, put down, or silenced. Maybe you were once told not to sing because you were “out of tune,” and those words stayed with you. Experiences like these can have a deeply negative effect on both the body and the mind, gradually causing you to hold back your voice and silence yourself.
Do you ever feel the urge to shout or scream out of sheer frustration? Do you wish you could speak your truth, but find that the words or your voice simply won’t come?
Reconnecting with your voice can help you rediscover your natural sound, your expression, and your words. It offers a gentle way to reclaim a part of yourself that may have been lost through trauma, abuse, or the gradual erosion of confidence caused by life’s challenges, relationships, and work.
A session will primarily look at your goals and what you want to achieve. You will learn breath techniques to help you relax and open your body and mind. Gradually you will be encouraged to use your voice slowly with both spoken and sung exercises. The sessions are taken at a rate that suits you. You will be encouraged to gather self awareness in your daily life, pin pointing experiences that have caused you fear and discomfort. You will be given tools to help you overcome these times. Ultimately, you will learn to open your body and mind and reconnect with the causes of your anxiety in using your voice.
In learning this, you will begin to find your voice again, healing and balancing yourself and becoming confident in your interactions and vocal projection.
