Learning to control your breathing relieves panic and stress and allows you to think clearly. It can be used as a tool in day to day living, at work, whilst playing sport and in all situations that require heightened concentration, focus and delivery under pressure.
"To deal with that kind of pressure, we are taught breathing exercises in our training schedule...it's the key to absolutely everything...it helps you sleep. It is simply balanced breathing....controlling your heart rate and clearing your thoughts."
Petr Cech, Chelsea FC Goalkeeper in an interview with FHM Magazine February 2014
Alexandra first learnt the importance of breathing for good health and wellbeing during her training as an opera singer. She felt how diaphragmatic breathing calmed performance nerves and anxiety. She started to apply this type of deep breathing to other areas of her life and soon realised it also eased a range of problems such as stress, anxiety, tiredness, pain, indigestion, motion sickness, breathlessness during sport and physical activity, menstrual cramps, headaches, insomnia, muscles spasms and more.
Alexandra now offers the breath training used by professional opera singers (without the singing!) to help you overcome stressful situations in your life whether at work or at play. Regular sessions, tailored to your individual needs, can transform your life as you learn techniques to calm and centre yourself when faced with performance stress and anxiety.
Breath Meditation takes breathing techniques one step further. You will learn to focus your breath whilst visualising your goals and overcome obstacles caused by negative patterns of self belief. You will learn to identify the negative pattern, what triggers it and how to overcome it. You will learn self awareness in your daily life that helps you positively rebuild the way you think about yourself and what you do.
