Singing Activities and Choirs....

CHOIRS
Alexandra is the musical director of the Claremont Singers, a community choir based in Windsor. The choir (all ladies) meet on Monday evenings in term time from 8pm-9.30pm and sing a wide range of repertoire from light music to traditional songs and more. Reading music is not necessary, just a keen ear and wanting to relax and enjoy singing with others. They work towards two charity fundraiser concerts per year.

The Grade-1-athon
A lady in my local town of Chertsey, called Kayte Cable, last year, organised Chertsey's first "Grade-1-thon", and what a great success it was! The idea is you learn an instrument or learn to sing, and within around 6 months you take a Grade 1 exam, and perform in the annual Grade-1-athon concert in Chertsey (no obligation if you really don't want to!). You get people to sponsor you, and the money raised goes to the Sam Beare Hospice. A little scary...yes, BUT a wonderful opportunity to learn something musical that you've always secretly had the urge to, and do so alongside others that feel the same as you!
I have been coaching quite a few budding singers taking part in the Grade-1-athon, and attended the first concert at the end of 2014, and it was really incredible. So many courageous and talented people and a couple of thousand pounds was raised for the charity!
If you are up for learning something new and being part of the Grade-1-athon community,  use my contact form and I will forward your enquiry to Kayte Cable.
